Plein air is a French expression meaning “in the open air”, and refers to the act of painting outdoors with the artist's subject in full view.
Spend 4 days in beautiful Nordegg, painting during the day, campfires and great company at night.
Every day we will explore different sights around Nordegg, such as turquoise waters of Abraham Lake, Waterfalls, amazing mountain views and more.

We will talk about painting outdoors and how to pick a good site, challenges of changing light and how to deal with it, composition, perspective (atmospheric and linear), brushwork and color mixing.
There will be plenty of demos as well as personal painting time under guidance.
If you have ANY interest in landscape painting and nature, you must get out there and paint. That is the only way to make sure your paintings are full of life and emotion of real nature, and not just copies of a photo.
Demoes will be in oil, however you may work in your medium of choice.

Cost: $500.00
